MEMBERSHIP + PRINTS

What are The Cabin Letters?

The Cabin Letters is a monthly snail-mail membership created from our fifth-generation cabin on the shores of Lake Champlain. Each month, you or someone you love receives a thoughtfully curated collection of words, original photography, a hand-illustrated field map and story, and a 1% More Restful card—all created as a gentle invitation to slow down, notice the beauty in ordinary life, and make a little more room for rest.

What comes in each monthly delivery?

Every Cabin Letter includes:

  • One handwritten letter from the cabin, thoughtfully written for your chosen edition
  • One original 5×7 fine-art photograph from the Caravan Sonnet collection
  • One original hand-illustrated field map and the story behind it
  • One 3×5 1% More Restful card with a simple invitation to create a little more rest in your everyday life, with Scripture on the reverse
  • Occasional thoughtful extras from the cabin
Are the photographs and illustrations original?

Yes. Every photograph featured in The Cabin Letters is an original image from the Caravan Sonnet collection, and each field map is originally hand-illustrated. The letters and accompanying pieces are thoughtfully created by us—never AI-generated and never pulled from mass-produced artwork or stock collections. What arrives in your mailbox begins with something genuinely created, photographed, written, or drawn by human hands.

What are the sizes of the products?

Each monthly fine-art photographic print and hand-illustrated field map is 5×7 inches, while the 1% More Restful card is 3×5 inches—thoughtfully sized to frame, display, collect, or tuck somewhere special as a quiet reminder throughout the month.

THE FOUR EDITION OPTIONS

What is the difference between the four editions?

Each edition receives the same monthly collection—the same fine-art photograph, hand-illustrated field map and story, and 1% More Restful card. The only difference is the handwritten letter itself, which is thoughtfully written to meet the reader in a particular season of life.

The Becoming Edition is our signature edition, written for anyone seeking more intention, beauty, rest, and meaning in everyday life.

The Belonging Edition is written especially for those navigating singleness, with reflections on friendship, home, purpose, community, and belonging.

The Bravely Edition is written for those living with chronic illness, pain, a difficult diagnosis, or ongoing health challenges, with gentle encouragement centered around beauty, faith, hope, and living meaningfully in the midst of hard things.

The Beautiful Edition is created especially for those in later seasons of life, including loved ones in assisted living or skilled nursing, with reflections on memory, legacy, beauty, connection, and continued purpose.

How do I know which edition to choose?

Choose the edition that most closely reflects the season you—or the person you’re gifting—are currently living. There is no “wrong” choice. The Becoming Edition is always a beautiful place to begin if none of the more specific editions feels like the right fit.

Can I change my edition later?

Absolutely. Life changes, and The Cabin Letters was created with those changing seasons in mind. If another edition becomes a better fit, you can change your selection for future letters. Simply reach out to us on the contact page and someone will be happy to assist you!

Do I need to be in assisted living or a nursing home to receive The Beautiful Edition?

Absolutely not. The Beautiful Edition is created for those in the later seasons of life, wherever they call home. While it can be an especially meaningful gift for someone in assisted living or skilled nursing, it is ultimately a celebration of memory, legacy, connection, beauty, and the purpose that continues through every season of life.

Is The Bravely Edition only for someone with a specific diagnosis?

No. The Bravely Edition is intended for anyone navigating chronic illness, ongoing pain, a difficult diagnosis, or a challenging health season. The letters are not medical advice and do not focus on a particular condition; they offer thoughtful companionship, encouragement, faith, beauty, and hope in the midst of circumstances that can sometimes feel isolating.

SHIPPING + TIMING

When will my first Cabin Letter arrive?

We mail our monthly Cabin Letters on the 23rd of each month, with most arriving toward the end of the month or during the first week of the following month. If you join on or before the 20th, your first Cabin Letter will be included in our regular monthly mailing. If you join after the 20th—or even shortly after our mailing date on the 23rd—we’ll still send that month’s Cabin Letter whenever possible; it may simply arrive a few days later than the rest of the month’s letters.

Do you charge shipping?

Yes. A small flat-rate shipping fee is added to each monthly mailing, whether you’re purchasing a monthly membership or giving The Cabin Letters as a gift.

What if my Cabin Letter gets lost in the mail?

The Cabin Letters are sent through traditional stamped mail, so tracking is not available and delivery times can occasionally vary. If your Cabin Letter hasn’t arrived within a reasonable amount of time, please reach out to us. We want every letter to make its way home and will be happy to help.

Can I pause, skip, or cancel my membership?

Yes. Monthly memberships can be managed or canceled through your subscription account. Changes should be made before your next scheduled renewal. Prepaid gift memberships are paid in advance for the selected term and do not automatically renew.

GIFTED MEMBERSHIPS

How does a gift membership work?

The Cabin Letters was created to be just as meaningful to give as it is to receive. Simply choose the edition that best meets your recipient in their current season of life, select the length of the gift membership, and enter the recipient’s mailing address. Their Cabin Letter will arrive in their mailbox each month for the duration of the membership.

When will the gift recipient receive their first Cabin Letter?

Our regular monthly mailing takes place on the 23rd. Gift memberships ordered on or before the 20th will be included in that month’s regular mailing. Orders placed after the 20th—or shortly after the 23rd—will still receive that month’s Cabin Letter whenever possible, but it may arrive a few days later.

Do gift memberships automatically renew?

No. Our 3-, 6-, and 12-month prepaid gift memberships do not automatically renew. You pay once at checkout, and your recipient receives one Cabin Letter each month for the length of the membership you selected.

Can I gift more than one membership?

Absolutely. If you'd like to send The Cabin Letters to more than one person, please purchase each gift membership separately so that we have the correct edition and mailing address for each recipient.

how it works

The Cabin Letters in 3 Simple Steps

step 1:  choose your letter

Choose the edition of The Cabin Letters that meets you—or someone you love—in the beautiful season of life you’re living, then select the membership that fits best.

step 2: we create + mail your letter

Each month, we create a new Cabin Letter around a thoughtful theme, bringing together your letter, original photography, a hand-illustrated field map and story, and your 1% More Restful card.

Your Cabin Letter is then thoughtfully prepared and mailed from Lake Champlain on the 23rd of each month.

step 3: you savor your letter

Your collection arrives in your mailbox, ready to be opened, read, displayed, collected, and enjoyed—an invitation to slow down and make a little more room for rest.
