Details
For generations, the shores of Lake Champlain have been a place where stories are carried—through families and seasons, across the water, along old roads, and within the walls of cabins that quietly hold the lives lived inside them.
I know something about living within those stories.
Our cabin on Lake Champlain has been in my family for five generations. I didn't simply discover this place; I inherited a place already filled with history, memory, beauty, and belonging. I have the privilege of living within that legacy now—and, with it, the responsibility and joy of carrying its stories forward.
The Cabin Letters grew from that idea: that the places we love hold stories worth noticing, preserving, and passing along.
Each month, a new letter will leave our fifth-generation cabin on the shores of Lake Champlain and make its way to someone you love—a thoughtfully created collection of words, photography, beauty, and reflection centered around a new theme.
The Cabin Letters is about place and story. Legacy and belonging. Beauty, history, home, rest, and the lives we are building in the midst of all of them.
Spending every summer of my life at our fifth-generation cabin has taught me that a meaningful life isn't created all at once. It is built slowly. In the stories we preserve. The places we care for. The beauty we notice. The traditions we carry forward. And the small choices we make about what we will leave for those who come after us.
A gift membership is an invitation to give someone you love a little something to look forward to in their mailbox each month—a letter created for their season of life, accompanied by beautiful pieces to read, keep, display, and collect.
Choose the edition that best meets your recipient in their current season of life, then select a 3-, 6-, or 12-month gift membership. Their Cabin Letter will arrive each month for the duration of your gift, with no automatic renewal.
From our fifth-generation cabin on Lake Champlain to their mailbox—one letter, one story, one month at a time.
That gives the gift product a reason to exist beyond simply being a duplicate of the regular membership—and I especially like “a little something to look forward to in their mailbox each month” for gifting.
YOUR LETTER INCLUDES
A handwritten letter from the cabin
A personal letter from Rebecca or Beth exploring that month’s theme through story, place, history, travel, tradition, and the things I am learning and noticing along the way. Some letters may begin right here beside Lake Champlain; others may carry us across the world. Each one is rooted in the belief that our places—and our lives—have stories worth paying attention to.
Choose the Letter That Meets You Here: While every edition of The Cabin Letters receives the same monthly collection, you can choose the version of the handwritten letter that most closely meets you in the season of life you are living.
→ The Becoming Edition
Our signature edition, written for anyone who wants to live with greater intention, notice the beauty in ordinary life, and continue becoming who they were created to be.

An original 5×7 fine-art photographic print
Each month includes an original photograph from the Caravan Sonnet collection, thoughtfully selected to accompany that month’s letter and story and beautifully reproduced as a 5×7 fine-art print. Designed to be kept, framed, displayed, or collected, each photograph becomes a visual piece of that month’s Cabin Letter.
An illustrated field map + the story behind it
Each month includes an original hand-drawn illustrated field map inspired by a place connected to that month’s theme, accompanied by the story that makes it worth remembering. From the shores of Lake Champlain to places discovered through history and travel, these maps are an invitation to look a little closer at the landscapes that have carried people, memories, and stories across generations—and to discover what those places might still have to teach us about the lives we are creating today.
A 3×5 “1% More Restful” card
A small, tangible invitation to make your everyday life just 1% more restful. Each month brings one thoughtful, realistic idea you can carry into your own home and rhythms, with a Scripture selected for the reverse of the card.
